In this world full of chaos, staying motivated is a challenge. A very big one, you can say!
This moment, you think that what you are doing is working out, but the next moment, “boom,” an unexpected challenge catches you unaware and unprepared.
It is at this moment that one path splits into two: The resilient keeps moving while the fragile one gives up.
I don’t want to know if you are resilient or fragile, but even resilient people become fragile in certain situations that make it challenging to keep moving.
I have been there too!!
Regardless of who you are or your situation, I want to share with you four things that keep me moving despite the circumstances. You might not relate to all of them, but at least one, two, or three can save your soul.
1. Do what you love
First and foremost, fill your days with doing what you love and see how it changes your life. Nowadays, people are choosing careers blindly, just because they pay too much or because of other people’s opinions, and this is ruining their lives.
What happens next?
When challenges arise, those on the wrong path will start complaining that things are bad, work is hard, and so on. But those on the right path will take the challenges as opportunities to grow and keep pushing until the sunny days return.
My Dear friend, things are hard everywhere, but what keeps us moving is our passion for what we do. When you hate someone or something, a challenge becomes an excuse to leave, but when you love someone or something, a challenge becomes a strong motivation to work hard and prove your love.
Choose wisely!
2. Set goals and keep reviewing them and your progress onwards
The next part that helps me keep moving despite the circumstances is my goals. At the beginning of every month, I set goals. Two days before the month ends, I sit down with my pen and notebook and draft everything I wish to achieve in the coming month, which I rearrange later in my digital organizing app and put on a deadline for everything.
While noting everything down, it becomes deeply registered in my mind that I can’t dare forget it. When the deadline is around the corner, it keeps me awake. I can’t sleep properly until I finish it. This way, I keep moving, excited to accomplish the next goal.
Just try it and see; trying won’t kill you anyway.
3. Surround yourself with positive people
If there is something that works like magic, it is spending your days with people full of positivity, people who always push the best out of you. Even when you feel down, they cheer you up, encourage you to take the next step, and believe in you no matter what happens.
Trust me, this is what you need in life: someone who believes in you, wishes you the best, will never judge you, and will remind you to keep moving after that tragic event.
Please leave no room for negativity. Stay away from someone who always judges you for what went wrong or who never believes that you can achieve anything. You deserve much more; go for it.
4. Put in place a reward system
Now comes my favorite part! 😄
I found creating a rewarding system a strategy that is both funny and productive.
How about watching your favorite movie or show, buying yourself a bottle of your favorite drink, or visiting your favorite place after accomplishing that big project? How do you feel about that?
Amazing, right?
I know! No one can say no to good things.
Scheduling a reward before tackling a certain goal is a sure deal for me to keep moving. Every moment I feel like quitting, and I remember what I will do next after finishing the project, a rush of adrenaline fills my body to remind me that there is no way I am going to miss out on that reward, and I keep moving until I get there.
How about trying this yourself?
